Michael Dinh, MD

Psychiatrist and Medical Director

I became a psychiatrist to help people like my parents, who were refugees from Vietnam, after growing up seeing the consequences that trauma and difficult life experiences can have on mental health. I’ve trained in a wide range of approaches including integrative psychiatry (through the UCSF Osher Center), which allows me to work with you not just on medications and therapy, but also lifestyle changes and whole-body health. I also have experience in different therapy styles (ACT, CBT, DBT, psychodynamic, psychedelic-assisted therapy, and more) and I tailor my approach to your specific situation.

When I’m not providing specialty care at Amast, I provide therapy and medication management at Hammock Health and serve as an expert witness in psychiatry in legal settings.
